For optimal healing and results, please review the following guidelines:

• Schedule injectable treatments at least 4 weeks before special events, such as weddings or vacations, to allow adequate time for healing and for results to fully develop.
• Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements when medically appropriate. NSAIDs and other blood thinners may increase the risk of bruising. Do not discontinue any prescribed blood thinner without first consulting your healthcare provider.
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment, as it may increase the risk of bruising.
• Discontinue Retin-A/retinoids 2 days before treatment.
• For dermal filler, avoid dental cleanings and dental work for 2 weeks before and after treatment.
• If you develop a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the treatment area, please notify your provider before your appointment.
• If you have a history of cold sores, please let your provider know. Antiviral medication may be recommended before treatment in certain cases.

Wrinkle relaxer results may begin to appear as early as 3 days after treatment, with full results generally developing within 2 weeks.

Mild bruising, swelling, tenderness, or redness may occur during the first week and may be more noticeable following dermal filler.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment.
• Continue to avoid Retin-A/retinoids for 2 days after treatment.
• Apply ice for 5–10 minutes at a time every couple of hours as needed to help reduce swelling and discomfort.
• Arnica gel may be applied to bruising up to 3 times daily if recommended.
• Makeup can help minimize the appearance of bruising. Your provider can recommend appropriate products if needed.

Following these recommendations can help minimize bruising and support optimal healing.

Important: Follow all individualized post-treatment instructions provided by your provider and contact your provider promptly with any unexpected or concerning symptoms.

To help minimize irritation and prepare your skin for treatment:

• For 1 week before your peel, avoid electrolysis, depilatory creams, laser hair removal, and waxing.
• Discontinue Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac, and other retinoid products 3 days before treatment.
• Avoid products containing retinol, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), or benzoyl peroxide for 3 days before treatment.
• Avoid exfoliating products or procedures that may dry, sensitize, or irritate the skin.
• Schedule your chemical peel at least 2 weeks before or after injectable treatments.

Immediately following your peel, your skin may feel tight and appear red or slightly darker than usual. The skin may also feel tacky and have a temporary yellow-to-orange tint, which typically fades within a few hours.

• Apply sunscreen immediately after treatment unless you are going to bed.
• Wait to wash your face following the peel per your treatment provider's recommendation.
• Peeling generally begins 48–72 hours after treatment and may last approximately 2–5 days.
• Do not pick, pull, or peel the skin. Allow the skin to shed naturally. Premature removal of peeling skin can increase the risk of irritation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure and wear SPF daily throughout the healing process.
• Your individualized post-peel skincare regimen will be reviewed with you at the time of your appointment.

To help minimize irritation and prepare your skin for treatment:

• Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin in the treatment area.
• Discontinue retinol/Retin-A at least 24 hours before your appointment.
• Avoid scheduling treatment over sunburned, irritated, or compromised skin.

It is normal for your skin to appear pink and mildly inflamed, similar to a mild sunburn, for 24–48 hours.

• Do not apply skincare products for the first 24 hours, other than products directed by your provider at your treatment.
• Avoid sun exposure for at least the first 24 hours and use SPF as recommended.
• After 24 hours, you may resume your regular skincare routine, but continue to avoid retinol/Retin-A for an additional 4 days.
• Do not apply Vaseline, Aquaphor, or other occlusive products to the treatment area.
• Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating, saunas, and activities that cause significant heat or perspiration for 72 hours, as increased blood flow and sweat may cause discomfort and irritation to the treated skin.
• Mild flaking, dryness, or temporary breakouts may occur during the first week.
• Continue to avoid excessive sun exposure and wear SPF daily to protect your skin and support optimal results.

To help minimize irritation and achieve the best results:

• Avoid retinoids (Retin-A/tretinoin), exfoliating acids, and scrubs for 3–5 days before treatment.
• Avoid waxing, threading, or other facial hair-removal treatments for at least 5–7 days.
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
• Do not schedule dermaplaning over irritated, sunburned, or compromised skin.

Your skin may be more sensitive for the first few days. For best results:

• Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, and other active products for 3–5 days.
• Avoid waxing or other facial hair removal for at least 5–7 days.
• Avoid excessive heat, saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
• Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily.
• Use gentle, hydrating skincare and avoid picking or rubbing the skin.

To help minimize irritation and prepare your skin for treatment:

• Discontinue retinol/Retin-A and other retinoids 3 days before treatment.
• Avoid exfoliating products, scrubs, AHAs, BHAs, and other active products for 2–3 days before treatment.
• Avoid waxing, threading, or other facial hair removal for at least 3–5 days before treatment.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure or treatment on sunburned, irritated, or compromised skin.

Your skin may appear slightly pink immediately after treatment and may feel smooth, hydrated, and refreshed.

• Avoid retinol/Retin-A and other strong active or exfoliating products for 2–3 days after treatment.
• Avoid excessive heat, saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
• Avoid waxing or other facial hair removal for 3–5 days after treatment.
• Wear SPF 30+ daily and minimize direct sun exposure.
• Use gentle, hydrating skincare and avoid scrubbing or picking at the skin.
• Makeup may generally be applied after treatment if your skin is comfortable, unless otherwise directed.
